Pharmacist, Pharm.D
I have been honored to serve as a community pharmacist for nearly a decade. After graduating from Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy, I quickly moved up to managing CVS pharmacies around Annapolis. I most recently opened and managed the local CVS pharmacy inside Target for 2 years, developing a significant patient base. Those relationships inspired me to open a local pharmacy, Chesapeake Rx, to continue serving the community, make meaningful impacts on people’s health, and ensure the best care possible.
I want the pharmacy and my staff to make a positive difference in the health and well-being of the community and ensure every patient feels heard and cared for, whether managing a chronic condition, needing medication advice, or fast, reliable prescriptions and service. Our staff thoroughly understands medication therapy, patient care, and the importance of providing clear communication.
Patient-Centered Care
Building relationships is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a pharmacist, and I take pride in being a trusted resource for patients. I primarily provide one-on-one medication counseling to help patients understand and manage medications. Ensuring safety when a patient has multiple prescriptions written by different providers is essential to avoid potential complications or dangerous interactions.
We take time with our customers to explain directions, answer questions, and provide guidance on other-the-counter treatments. We help develop a manageable medication routine to ensure safety and optimal health.
A One-Stop Pharmacy Experience
Chesapeake Rx is committed to providing services that are not commonly found in large chain retail pharmacies. In addition to medications, we offer unique services such as simple compounding for liquid medications, flavoring for children’s medicines, pet medications, and private medication therapy management consulting. We also provide a wide range of medical supplies, home medical equipment, free home medication delivery, curbside pickup, and point-of-care testing for flu, COVID-19, RSV, and Lyme disease, which is a rare offering in our area.
As part of our commitment to the community’s well-being, we plan to introduce community health and wellness initiatives in the future. These initiatives will include immunization clinics specifically designed for retirement and residential communities over age 55, demonstrating our dedication to promoting health and wellness among all community members.
